Travelling by Car

We highly recommend travelling by public transport as parking in Cambridge is hard to find and expensive. Unfortunately, there is no on-site parking at Jesus College. If you are arriving by car, the closest public car park is Park Street.

If you would like to leave your car overnight, the best option is to use one of the Park & Ride sites and take a bus into the city centre. Details of overnight parking charges at the Park & Ride sites can be found here.

Alternatively, you may find parking options in Cambridge on websites such as Just Park or YourParkingSpace.

Travelling by train

There are three train stations in Cambridge. The closest train station to the venue is Cambridge station. London is less than one hour away by train. There are frequent train services (from London King’s Cross and Liverpool Street) between the two cities until late at night. There is a taxi rank and bus station outside Cambridge station.

Most buses departing from Cambridge Train Station will stop in the city centre. For more information on routes and timetables, please visit the Stagecoach website.

Travelling by air

Stansted Airport

Stansted Airport is the closest airport to Cambridge. There are direct trains that run from Stansted to Cambridge, which take around 30 minutes. Timetables can be viewed on the National Rail website.

Alternatively, there is a National Express bus service that runs hourly from Stansted Airport to Cambridge Bus Station, the journey takes around 45 minutes.

Heathrow Airport

From Heathrow take the Piccadilly line to King's Cross St. Pancras Underground Station. This takes approximately one hour. Walk (1 min) to King's Cross Station and take a train to Cambridge. This takes approximately 45 minutes.

Gatwick Airport

Trains run direct to Cambridge from Gatwick Airport. This takes approximately 2 hours.

Birmingham International Airport

From Birmingham International Station take a train to London Euston. This takes approximately one hour. Walk to the underground (3 minutes) and take the Victoria line to King's Cross St. Pancras Underground Station. Walk (1 min) to Kings Cross Station and take a train to Cambridge. This takes approximately 45 minutes.
